Stephan Turchak

Stephan V. Turchak is one of the most outstanding conductors of the XX century, whose name is associated with the most significant pages of Ukrainian opera, ballet and symphonic performances. Brilliant musical talent was combined with high ideals of humanism and patriotism, with exceptional professionalism.

History of the competition

The first national competition of conductors took place on December 15-24, 1994 in Kyiv and was dedicated to the memory of the outstanding Ukrainian opera and symphony conductor Stefan Turchak (1938-1988).

Organizing Committee

MEMBERS of the Organizing Committee on preparation and holding of the Third International Stefan Turchak Competition of Conductors.

Jury of the Competition

Prominent figures of the musical arts of Ukraine and abroad are invited to the Jury of the Competition. The Jury works in accordance with the “Regulations on the Jury”, approved by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Competition – Ievhen Fedorovych Stankovych.

Participants of the competition

The Competition may be participated by competitors who, in the year of the Competition (as of November 26, 2017), will not be more than 35 years old.
